LYNCHBURG - The Roanoke College women's soccer team fell in the final moment of the contest with Averett University on Saturday in the Shellenberger Invitational at Lynchburg College. The Maroons now sit with a record of 0-2, while the Cougars now hold a record of 1-2.
Both teams were unable to find the back of the net for the first 45 minutes. In the second half, the story mostly remained the same until the 88:17 mark, as Averett's Pernilla Milton scored the only goal of the game to give the Cougars the 1-0 victory.
