Scrappers Organization Has Another Great Year

The Virginia “Class Action” Scrappers Softball Club had yet another impressive year from every age group. Every one of our 5 different age groups is consistently competitive every year and that is what sets the Scrappers apart from every other organization in Southwest Virginia. This past season 2009-2010 is another great example.

Fall and winter bowling leagues are now forming at the Rocky Mount Bowling Center. Meetings for two of these leagues will be held next week at the bowling center.

Virginia Scrappers-Austin 18-U Team Wins Softball Nation Fastpitch Title

Read More...The Softball Nation Nationals did not start well for the Scrappers-Austin 18-U team in Virginia Beach last Thursday, but the tournament ended well for the Roanoke-based squad, as they won four straight games on Sunday in 105 degree heat to capture the championship. The elements played a key role in the quality of play as players fought the heat during a grueling day that began with an 8:30 AM start and ended at around 5:00 PM.

   

Radford Bobcats USSSA Team Participates in World Series

Read More...Twelve players from the Radford Bobcats U13AA USSSA baseball team travelled to Johnson City, Tennessee to participate in the USSSA World Series July 13-18.  The World Series culminated a successful season for the Bobcats who played a total of 66 games in 18 sanctioned tournaments.

Read More...The Blacksburg All-Stars won the 2010 Dixie Ozone District 3 Tournament Championship on Thursday night defeating Montgomery County 13-1.  Blacksburg will now get ready for the Virginia State tournament in Madison Heights, VA.
