The Flames opened last Saturday against the NRV Sparks with a 38-23 loss, only to recover with a 38-26 win over the Roanoke Roar-Orange to gain the number 1 seed for Sunday's elimination rounds.

On Sunday, a rematch with the Sparks had a different turnout with the Flames winning 31-29 behind a great defensive game by Kelly Davis and Amanda Whitlow. The Flames were to face the Roanoke Roar-Blue in the championship game where the Roar prevailed 29-26.
