On a beautiful day in our nation’s capitol, Sunday July 11th, 2010, the Roanoke Star’s U15 Boys Elite, U15 Boys Premier, and U14 Girls Elite teams departed for their European adventure. After a quick stop in Paris, France to change planes the teams arrived in Copenhagen, Denmark on Monday July 12th.

Three Roanoke Star soccer teams are currently competing in Europe, the U14 Girls Elite, U15 Boys Premier and U15 Boys Elite. All three teams have been successful.

Roanoke Star player Grace Baldridge will be attending the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Grace entered her name in a contest and won the trip.

The Roanoke Star Soccer Club has a rich history of producing some of the best goalkeepers in Southwest Virginia. This year was no different. Roanoke Star will be sending five goalkeepers to play soccer in college in Fall 2010.

Roanoke Star player, Parker Walsh, has been named to the United States U20 National team. Parker is currently playing for Karlsruhe SC in Germany. He has made previous appearances with the national team at the U15 and U17 age groups. He has played in some of the most prestigious events worldwide and played against some of the best teams and players in the world.
