On August 6-7, 2011, the Roanoke based Virginia Extreme Force 10U girls fastpitch softball team traveled to Williamsburg, VA to play in the 9th Annual NSA Busch Gardens Classic. This is a very popular tourney and one of the largest tourneys in the state of Virginia, with teams from many neighboring states participating.

Roanoke’s Virginia Extreme Force 14U girls’ fastpitch softball team traveled to Williamsburg to participate in the 9th annual Busch Gardens Williamsburg Classic. This is one of Virginia’s largest fastpitch events with over 90 teams from Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

The Virginia Extreme Force, a premier girls fastpitch softball organization based in Roanoke Virginia, will host tryouts for the 2012 season on Sunday, Aug. 21.

The Scrappers 18U White finished their Summer schedule with a strong showing at the Carolina Cardinal Classic. The Scrappers White went 5 – 0 in Raleigh outscoring their opponents 31 – 5, holding 3 teams scoreless with 2 of the games ending by run rules.

The Scrappers 16U participated in the 18U ASA Summer Sizzler Tournament in Greensboro, NC on July 23-24. They went 4-0 and were crowned the Champions after they were the only undefeated team left.

The Virginia Extreme Force 14U girls’ fastpitch softball team traveled to Greensboro to compete in the IFA World Warm-Up. The Extreme started the weekend with a 3 -1 win over the NC Vipers. Amber Smith led the offense for the Extreme with a double and a run scored. Cassi Parulis, Morgan Decker and Bailey Grubb combined efforts in the circle allowing 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 3.

Roanoke’s Virginia Extreme Force stayed close to home to complete in the 2011 Virginia Commonwealth Games held at Botetourt and Moyer Sports complexes. This year’s games showcased the most significant competition ever in the 14U age group with 26 teams from all parts of Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
