Football fans can get an early look at their favorite teams tonight, as every school in the area will be playing in either a scrimmage, a jamboree or a Benefit Game.
Radford fans can get a glance of the Bobcats at they will be hosting a jamboree on Friday. Radford will take on William Campbell at 4 p.m. and Gretna at 7:15 p.m. Glenvar will also be competing in this event and they will tackle William Campbell at 5:05 p.m. and Gretna at 6:10 p.m. The cost of admission is $5.
James River will travel to PH-Glade Spring for a jamboree starting at 7 p.m. Friday night.
Benefit Games, Friday, Aug. 17
Bland County at Auburn, 7 p.m.
EC Glass at Blacksburg, 7 p.m.
Patrick Henry-Roanoke at Christiansburg, 7 p.m.
Chatham at Patrick County, 7 p.m.
Rural Retreat at East Mont, 7 p.m.
Brookville at Franklin County, 7 p.m.
Jefferson Forest at Lord Botetourt, 7 p.m.
Narrows at Northwood, 7 p.m.
Craig County at Cumberland, 7 p.m.
Fort Chiswell at John Battle, 7:30 p.m.
Galax at Carroll County, 7:30 p.m.
Floyd County at Grayson County, 7:30 p.m.
Giles at Pulaski County, 7:30 p.m.
Admission is charged to the Benefit Games. After expenses, the competing schools will each receive one-third of the net income and the remaining one-third share will be sent to the VHSL.
