Rory "Tater" Benson, who was the head coach for the Lord Botetourt football team for the past six seasons, has resigned, according to the administration at the school.

Lord Botetourt remained unbeaten in Blue Ridge District volleyball action, as The Cavaliers rode away with 25-13, 25-14 and 25-25-20 win over Staunton River Tuesday night in Daleville.

In a battle of two undefeated Blue Ridge District volleyball teams, Lord Botetourt swept Northside 25-20, 25-16 and 25-18 Thursday night in Roanoke.

Lord Botetourt remained tied for the top spot in the Blue Ridge District with a 25-10, 22-25, 25-16 and 25-14 win over Alleghany Tuesday night in Daleville.

Lord Botetourt picked up its third district win of the season, as the Cavaliers rode past Staunton River 25-14, 25-19 and 25-19 in Blue Ridge District action Thursday night in Moneta.
