Northside finished the Blue Ridge District regular season going undefeated with a 5-2 softball win over Lord Botetourt Wednesday in Daleville.

What a wild ride for Northside and Rocbridge in a Blue Ridge District softball game that had both teams dominate certain innings of the game Thursday afternoon, as the Vikings held on for the 11-10 eight-inning thriller.

Northside clinched the regular season Blue Ridge District softball championship with a 9-3win over William Byrd Tuesday night in Vinton. This is the 12th regular season championship for the Vikings in the last 14 years.

Northside traveled to Moneta Friday afternoon and came away with a 7-0 Blue Ridge District softball win against Staunton River.

Northside started the second half of  Blue Ridge District softball play as it ended the first half, with a win over Alleghany Wednesday afternoon in Low Moor. The Vikings won the game 5-2.

Northside finished the first half of district play entertaining Alleghany at Northside High School field. The Vikings won the game 5-1. Coach Lynn Richmond, in her 25th year as head coach, and the Vikings softball program got their 400th all time win. With this win, the Vikings program ranks as one of the most winning programs in the state of Virginia.

Northside continued Blue Ridge District play Friday, entertaining Lord Botetourt in Roanoke. In the end, the Vikings won 3-0.

Emma Wade scored two goals, as she helped lead Northside to a 3-1 victory over district leader Lord Botetourt, 3-1, in Blue Ridge District girls' soccer win Friday night in Daleville.
