Northside battled back from a two game deficit to knock off William Byrd in an exciting 25-15, 18-25, 24-26, 25-15 and 15-10 in Blue Ridge District volleyball action Tuesday night.
Caitlyn Porterfield led the Vikings (17-7, 8-0 BRD) by surpassing the 1,000 mark in assists with 19 on the night to bring her total to 1,005 on the season. Elena West posted 20 assists and four aces, Taylor Price notched 17 kills, and Kelsey Jarrett added 12 kills and 16 digs.
Kristen Watson led the Terriers (9-9, 4-4 BRD) with 36 assists. Autumn Vineyard and Lindsey Carver combined for 20 kills and five blocks, while Morgan Jackson finished with eight kills and two aces.
