Viars Propels Fort Chiswell Past Radford

Hody Viars had the hot bat on a cool evening, as he helped lead Fort Chiswell to a 10-0 non-district baseball win against Radford Friday in Max Meadows. The game was called after six innings due to the slaughter rule.

Viars led the Pioneers (5-2) with a 3-for-4 effort and five RBIs. Josh Underwood had three hits and scored three runs.

Michael Dunford picked up the win on the mound for Fort Chiswell. He gave up no runs on three hits in going the distance.
