Jailyn Ford tossed a one-hitter and fanned 14 batters, as Bath County hammered Fort Chiswell, 11-0, in the opening round of the Region C softball tournament Tuesday evening in Hot Springs

The Chargers (18-3) will take on PH-Glade Spring, a 2-0 winner over Floyd County, in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Thursday at Damascus Middle School in Damascus.

Amanda Shifflett led Bath County with two hits and four RBIs, while Bekkah Pauley had a two-run homer.
