Behind a triple-double from Cameron Snidow, the Green Wave jumped out to an early lead and rolled to a 65-32 win over the Cougars in the opening round of the Region C, Division 1 girls tournament Tuesday night in Narrows.

Narrows (19-4) faces Bath County in the semifinals Thursday night at George Wythe High School. Game time is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

The Green Wave roared out to a 20-5 lead after the opening eight minutes and increased their advantage to 34-12 at the half. Narrows continued to dominate in the third quarter, as they increased its lead to 52-19, The Green Wave would continue to pull away from Covington (9-11) in the fourth quarter, as they advanced to the semifinals with a 65-32 victory.

Cameron Snidow led Narrows with a game-high 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Starla Reed tossed in 16 points.
