Fort Chiswell broke loose for 13 runs late, as they turned a one-run lead, into a 15-1 pounding of Narrows in a Mountain Empire District baseball encounter Thursday night in Narrows.
The Green Wave (10-7, 2-3 MED), who trailed 2-1 going into the fifth frame, saw the Pioneers (13-5, 6-1 MED) bats come to life the rest of the way.
Jake Craft and Andy Robertson led Narrows with two hits apiece.
Hody Viars led Fort Chiswell with a 3-for-5 showing, including a three-run homer and six RBIs. Parker Mabe added two-run homer and four RBIs.
