Patrick County remained perfect on the young season, as the Cougars claimed a 26-24, 25-16 and 25-18 non-district volleyball win over Mt. Airy, NC Monday night in Stuart.

Hannah Helbert led the Cougars (3-0) with 23 kills. Tkeyah Hines had 10 and three blocks, Samantha Smith tallied seven kills, Beth Williams set up 28 assists for the night and Kendra Hall added 12 assists and three aces, while Logan Martin dug up 17 balls.

In the JV match, Mt. Airy won 25-19 and 25-11.

Lauren wood had three kills and Abby Hutchens had two, while India Kahle had three aces for the Little Cougars (1-2).
