The Knights dominated throughout the match, as they claimed a 4-1 non-district girls soccer win over Floyd County Friday night.
Kendall Moyer started off the scoring for the Lady Knights with a unassisted goal in the first six minutes of the match.
Heather Reynolds continued the scoring for the Lady Knights with an assist from Kendall Moyer early in the second half. Anna Hoyt helped extend the lead for the Lady Knights with an assist by Katherine Day. Jordan Nolen scored a unassisted goal for Floyd with 26:50 left in the second half. Freshman Maggie Grumbine scored her first goal of the season with an assist from Anna Hoyt with 23 minutes to go in the match.
James River played very well dominating ball possession for most of the game, connecting on passes, and taking over 17 shots throughout the game.
Floyd County took just six shots in the whole match.
