KW King recorded the hat trick, as James River stopped Fort Chiswell, 5-1, in the quarterfinals of the Region C boys soccer tournaement Tuesday night in Buchanan.
James River (7-5-1) now meets Radford, a 10-0 winner over PH-Glade Spring, in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Thursday at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista.
In addition to King's three goals, Ethan Brannan scored two goals for the Knights.
Stephen Gray had two assists, while Greg Whiting and Levi Johnson added an assist each for James River.
Brandon Gilbert talled four saves in Goal for the Knights.
Fort Chiswell's lone goal came late in the second half.
"We played the best game we have played all season," said James River head coach Steve Flint. "Our offense controlled the ball and our defense shut down Fort Chiswell, allowing only eight shots for the game."
