The Cave Spring girls claimed a 114-54 win, while the Blacksburg boys swam to an 87-83 victory in a dual swim meet held Tuesday evening in Roanoke.

As the Cave Spring boys basketball team prepares for the upcoming season, the Knights will have plenty of experience and depth, as they look to improve on last year's fourth place finish in a tough River Ridge District.

Compared to year's past, the Cave Spring boys/girls swim team will be much smaller and younger, as the Knights look to have another successful season in the River Ridge District and beyond.

Sam Wright rushed for a career-high 303 yards and scored five touchdowns, as he helped lead Cave Spring to a 35-21 win over previously unbeaten Richlands in the Group AA, Region IV, Division 3 playoffs Friday night in Richlands.

Jackie Crawford and Jacob Siar, a pair of Cave Spring swimmers, have signed a Letter of Intent  to continue their college careers at JMU and Auburn, respectively.

Cave Spring won its fifth state volleyball title Saturday evening, as the Knights swept Jamestown 25-14, 25-19 and 25-22  in the Group AA championships at the Siegel Center in Richmond.

Sam Wright rushed for 297 yards and four touchdowns, and Cave Spring (8-3) advanced to the Region IV, Division 3 final with a 41-9 victory over Martinsville (6-6) in Roanoke.

Cave Spring put an end to Loudoun County's four consecutive year reign as Group AA state champions, as the Knights claimed a 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-21 win in the semifinals Friday night at VCU's Siegel Center in Ricmond.

Cave Spring will be heading back to familiar territory, as the Knights rode past E.C. Glass 25-12, 25-5. 25-21 in the Group AA state quarterfinals Tuesday night in Southwest Roanoke County.
