Christiansburg came out on top, as they defeated Radford, Pulaski County and Fort Chiswell in a non-district quad golf match Tuesday at the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech.
Ashton Moran posted 21 assists and six kills, as she helped lead Christiansburg to a 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21 non-distict win over host Radford Thursday night.
Christiansburg took an early lead and never looked back, as they ran away with a 40-12 non-district football win Friday night over Floyd County in Christiansburg.
With seven starters returning on both sides of the pigskin, the Christiansburg Blue Demons are poised to win the River Ridge District, along with making another run deep into the playoffs this season.
With seven experienced players back, Christiansburg will be counting on its seniors for leadership, as the Blue Demons look to improve on last years fourth place finish in the River Ridge District.
Due to the field conditions at Christiansburg High School, tonight's Benefit Game against Franklin County has been changed to a scrimmage and will now be played at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke.
The Christiansburg-Bluefield, WV football scrimmage has been moved from Christiansburg to Bluefield. The date (August 14) and time (10:00) will remain the same. It will be both a JV and Varsity scrimmage.
Learning the sport of wrestling at an early age was the goal of the 2010 Virginia Elite Youth Summer Wrestling Camp, which concludes today at Hawkeye Hall in Christiansburg.
