Hidden Valley pounded out 14 hits in beating Blacksburg, 13-8, in a JV softball game played Tuesday evening in Roanoke. The game was called in the top of the 7th inning due to lightning.
The Bruins (8-1, 1-1) only tallied three hits for the game with Courtney Cumbee leading the way with a double and four RBIs. Laure Martinez-Lopez had double and an RBI, while Lilly Potts added a hit.
Despite having multiple runners on base in all but one innings, Blacksburg was not able to capitalize.
Robinette led Hidden Valley from the mound picking up the win with seven strikeouts, despite walking a staggering 14 batters.
