Christiansburg's Mohammed Issa scored the tying goal with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, and neither team would score in overtime, as the Blue Demons and Hidden Valley battled to a 2-2 tie in River Ridge District boys soccer action Wednesday night in Roanoke.
The Titans held a 1-0 halftime advantage before Christiansburg's Carl Leist scored with 16 minutes to play in the second half off of an assist by Jon Overton, to even the score at 1-1.
Hidden Valley would regain the lead, 2-1, on a Blue Demons own goal.
With less than 2 minutes to play in regulation, Mohammed Issa scored a goal to tie the game at 2-2, thus sending this one in OT.
Neither team would convert in the overtime, as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Christiansburg (7-5-2, 3-3-3 RRD) keeper Ben Poff recorded 13 saves.
