Three Pulaski County pitchers combined for a two-hitter, as the Cougars pounded Giles, 17-4, in a non-district baseball game Tuesday evening in Dublin. The game was called after the fifth inning due to the slaughter rule.
Pulaski County (3-2) scored seven runs in the first innings and 10 in the second to put this one in the books early.
Tyler Frazier (3-1) picked up the win for the Cougars by pitching three perfect innings and striking out seven batters. Cody Hills and Daniel Viers came on in relief and pitched the fourth and fifth innings, respectively.
Pulaski County, who had 18 hits in the game, were led by Frazier and Tyler Dickinson with three hits apiece. All nine of the Cougar starters had at least one hit in the game.
Tyler Thorne was charged with the loss for Giles (4-2). The Spartans only losses this season has been to the Cougars by scores of 16-0 and 17-4.
Pulaski County will host Tazewell in double-header this Saturday. Game time is 12 p.m.
