It may had been scortching hot outside, but that didn't seem to bother the 35 girls inside the Pulaski County High School Gym, as the Pulaski County High School Girls Basketball Team held its annual youth camp this week.
"It's been a really hot week," said Pulaski County head girls basketball coach Jason Grubb, Wednesday morning. "But, we're having a lot of fun in the gym."
The girls, who have attended the camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, have had a chance to work on their overall skills, including shooting, passing, defense, team play, offensive and defensive concepts. The campers also played three-on-three, four-on-four and five-on-five games, as well as competing in individual contests.
"The girls are having a really good time and they are learning a lot of new skills, plus refining what they had learned in the past," added coach Grubb.
The camp, which is being taught by Grubb, his assistant coaches and some of his players, will conclude on Friday.
