Former Pulaski County High School football standout Tahrick Peak, who had signed with Virginia Tech in February, will become a Red Raider instead of a Hokie, after recently signing with Texas Tech.
Peak, who signed with the Hokies in February, was released from his letter-of-intent with Virginia Tech after he was recently informed that his SAT score, which met NCAA requirements, was too low for admission at Virginia Tech.
Peak, who is the brother of current Virginia Tech player Nubian Peak, was injured most of his senior season at Pulaski County. In his junior season, the 6-2, 205 pound linebacker, recorded 127 total tackles in the regular season, in which 64 were solo stops. He also tallied seven tackles for loss, two pass break ups and one interception.
Before signing with Virginia Tech, Peak also offers from North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Marshall.
The 6-2, 205 pound linebacker, will be eligible to play for Texas Tech this upcoming season.
