When the 2010 volleyball season opens next week, Pulaski County will be looking to make some noise in the River Ridge District, as the Cougars return six players.
Back for another season are seniors Maddy Chitwood, Marlena Morrison, Tamar Smith, Amanda Salinas, along with juniors Jette Wade and Becky Pennington.
New to the varsity program this fall are senior Elizabeth Thacker, juniors Emma Reeves and Jennifer Lawson, sophomores Alisha Romain and Alivia Alger.
As for the Cougars strengths this season, head coach Ashley Surber stated, "our returning players in their positions, communications on the court and dedication.
As for the team's weaknesses, the coach replied, "Quickness, blocking and power hitters."a
