In a Southwest District battle that went five sets, Marion pulled off a 25-20, 25-15, 20-25, 22-25 and 15-12 victory over visiting Carroll County Tuesday night.

Jess Sheek led the Cavaliers (12-4, 4-1) with 15 kills, four aces, and three blocks, Eustacia Smith posted 11 kills and Megan Alderman dished out 11 assists.

Callie Mellinger led Marion (13-1, 3-1) with 15 kills and 11 digs. Kate Pennington recorded 31 digs and Jordan Williams added 23 assists and seven digs.
