Visiting Carroll County needed just three games, as they defeated rival Galax, 25-20, 25-11, and 25-13 in non-district volleyball action Monday night. It was the season-opener for both teams.

Allison White led the Maroon Tide (0-1) with eight kills and two blocks, while Bailey Shumate finished with six kills and eight assists.

Maleah Neely led the Cavaliers (1-0) with 11 service points, 10 assists, five kills and two blocks. Honesty Rogers added 14 service points nd six aces, while Lauren Roper posted 14 service points, eight kills and five blocks.
