Fort Chiswell scored early and often, as they blanked Auburn 41-0 in non-district football action Friday night in Riner.
The Pioneers (2-0) took 13-0 lead in the opening quarter on a 6-yard and 3-yard run by Johnse Hatfield. A 56-yard scamper by Ray Rodriguez, a 5-yard run by Hatfield and 34-yard gallop by Rodriguez gave Fort Chiswell a comfortable 34-0 halftime lead.
The Pioneers added another touchdown in the fourth quarter, this one, a 92-yard interception by Cory Mabry, would make the final 41-0.
Ray Rodriguez led Fort Chiswell with 88 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns, while Johnse Hatfield tallied 69 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. Defensively, Josh Cain and Coleman Thomas had nine tackles each for the Pioneers.
Jacob Mullins led Auburn (0-2) with 88 yards rushing on 25 carries.
