George Wythe's 18-game regular season win streak came to an end Friday night, as Floyd County claimed a 28-24 non-district football win in Wytheville.

The Buffaloes (3-1), who led 14-10 at the half, scored what proved to be the winning touchdown on a 43-yard scoring strike from backup quarterback Matt Bary to Brandon Simpkins with 2:02 left in the game.

Gus Underwood, who was injured late in the fourth quarter, completed 10 of 16 passes for 142 yards two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, while Dorian Harris added 126 yards on 24 tries

Dominique Crockett rushed for 153 yards on 15 attempts and two touchdowns to lead George Wythe (3-1).
