Dorian Harris ran for 174 yards, as he helped lead Floyd County to a 48-20 victory over Rural Retreat in non-district action Friday night in Floyd.

The Buffaloes (1-1) took a 14-0 lead in the opening quarter on a 7-yard and 15-yard pass from Matt Hollandsworth to Caz Cantrell. In the second quarter, a 49-yard and 20-yard run by Harris, a 20-yard scamper by Tyler Carr, along with another Harris touchdown, this one for 56 yards, would account for the Floyd County scoring in the opening half. Rural Retreat finally got on the scoreboard in the second quarter on an 11-yard pass from Zayne Williams to Travis Foster would make it 42-6.

The Buffs added another touchdown in the third quarter when Carr recovered a fumble and galloped 78 yards to paydirt.

The Indians would strike twice in the fourth quarter. A 7-yard run by James Marshall and a 10-yard scamper by Travis Anderson would make the final 48-20, Floyd County.

Matt Hollandsworth completed 4-of-5 passes for 44 yards and two touchdowns for Floyd County.

Travis Anderson led Rural Retreat with 66 yards and a touchdown.
